Assisted living

Flexible help with bathing, dressing, and medication while your parent keeps the independence they still want. Support is adjusted as needs change, without a move to a new community.

Memory care

A secured, structured environment for residents living with dementia and Alzheimer’s. Familiar routines, small resident groups, and staff trained in redirection and calm response — day and night.

Come see the houses for yourself

Tours are private and take about half an hour. Walk through a hacienda, meet the caregivers on shift, and ask whatever you need to ask.

Why families choose us

Why families choose Grace Village

Most families have already looked at a few other places by the time they call us. These are the differences they bring up.

  • Four small houses

There are four haciendas on the property, and [10 to 12] people live in each one. Every resident has a private room and their own bathroom. Each house has its own kitchen, so meals are cooked there and served at the table.

  • Enough caregivers on every shift

We staff above what the state requires, day and night. Caregivers are assigned to one house and stay there, so the same people are with your mom or dad every day. They tend to notice when something is off before it becomes a problem.

  • Both levels of care, same house

We provide assisted living and memory care. If your parent needs more help later on, the care plan changes and they stay where they are. You will not have to find another community and move them a second time.

  • Locally owned for over twelve years

The same local owners have run Grace Village since [YEAR]. Call the number on this page and you reach someone in Las Cruces who can answer you. Families come to us from across southern New Mexico and west Texas.

Tours are private, and you are welcome to bring the rest of the family.

If yours is not here, ask it on the phone. We would rather answer it than have you guess.

How do I know when additional support may be needed?

It usually shows up in small things first: missed medications, unopened mail, a stove left on, weight loss, or a fall nobody mentioned. Other common signals are withdrawing from friends, wearing the same clothes for days, or a caregiving spouse who is exhausted. If you are already asking the question, it is worth a conversation — we can talk it through without any commitment to move.

What is the difference between memory care and assisted living?

Assisted living supports the tasks of the day — bathing, dressing, medications, meals — for someone who is still oriented and largely independent. Memory care supports the person through cognitive change: a structured daily routine, a secured setting so wandering is not a danger, and caregivers trained specifically in dementia to redirect rather than correct.

At Haciendas at Grace Village both are delivered in the same small hacienda homes in Las Cruces, so care can step up as needs change without moving to another community.

How do you support safety and daily engagement?

Each residence is a home of [10–12] people rather than a corridor of rooms, so a caregiver can see everyone without a resident ever feeling watched. Staffing is kept above the standard requirement day and night, medications are administered on a documented schedule, and [nursing oversight / an RN visit — confirm cadence] is part of the routine.

Engagement is built into the day, not scheduled around it: meals cooked and served in the hacienda kitchen, music, art, gentle exercise, time outdoors in the courtyard, and family who are welcome to drop in.

Are families encouraged to stay involved?

Yes — visit, eat with your parent, join an activity, take them out for the afternoon. Our aim is that you go back to being family instead of being the caregiver. We keep you current on health changes, doctor visits and medication updates so nothing reaches you as a surprise.

How is pricing determined?

By the level of care your loved one actually needs, not by a package tier. We assess that before quoting anything and then walk you through the full monthly number — room, care level and what is included — so there is nothing to discover later. [Memory care and assisted living at Grace Village start at $X,XXX per month — confirm the figure that may be published.]
